Basic Obedience Training and Good Manners Specializing in the Family Pet

It's A Pet Thang, LLC, Eva M. Morales, Instructor and Trainer, uses ONLY Positive Reinforcement methods in the training of your pup or adult dog.  This means NO leash corrections (harsh jerking on the leash), NO chains of any kind are used including Choker Chains, or NO harsh methods of punishment is ever used to ensure compliance of the canine. 

Goal:  The overall training goal is to aid in the bonding between the owner and the dog not only during the training period but in their future relationship.

Principles of Training:

• The animal is treated with kindness, compassion, and respect.
• The importance of owner(s) gaining the respect and the trust of the pet.
• The importance of structure and setting boundaries for the pet.
• How to give guidance, set boundaries, and establish leadership with the pet.
• Understanding why socialization is an important factor in raising a well-adjusted pup not only during training but in the future.
• The owner(s) gain an understanding on how the canine thinks and how he/she sees the world he/she lives in.  Understanding and gaining this knowledge will aid in preventing unwanted behavior from the beginning, as well as aid in managing the present problems the owner(s) might be experiencing.
• How to communicate with the canine and how to let the pup or adult dog know what is expected of him/her.
• How to reward good behavior, when to reward, and what are the rewards.

NOTE:  If you elect to enroll in the basic fundamental course, the canine has no limits to what he/she can learn; your pet is only limited by your own imagination.
